Telangana Congress president B Mahesh Kumar Goud on Saturday said the next round of the joint action committee meeting for ‘fair delimitation’ of southern states will be held in Hyderabad in April.

A large public meeting will follow, with senior leaders from both state and national parties attending it. The dates for these events will be announced soon, he said.Speaking at a press conference in Chennai after attending a delimitation meeting called by Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, Mahesh Goud said that chief ministers from Kerala, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and the deputy CM of Karnataka, along with other political leaders, have agreed to attend the Hyderabad meeting.

He added, “We will also invite national leaders to the public meeting to highlight the injustice South Indian states could face if delimitation is based solely on population or a pro-rata formula.

This will show the BJP-led govt at the Centre how South India is united against this move.”He said the meeting will be an eye-opener for the BJP govt at the Centre on how states, particularly from the south, have come together to stop it from punishing the South Indian states.

"Fair delimitation is crucial for South India to ensure just representation, acknowledging its decades of contribution, adherence to rules, and economic strength. Without it, democracy remains unbalanced, and hard work goes unrecognized."
